Floria Sigismondi’s work is very distinct and unique. Her style is classified with her jittery camerawork. As an artist and photographer, Floria is best known for her videography. She has worked with many different artists, including Marilyn Manson, Christina Aguilera and The White Stripes. Born in Italy to opera singing parents, Floria’s work is at times haunting, dark but always visual.

The Blue Orchid video was pretty cool, amazing how they transformed Jack White’s (former) Detroit house.
She also directed Fiona Apple’s O Sailor which is one of my favorite videos of all time.
I remember the video she did for Christina’s Fighter but I just don’t think Sigismondi’s work suited such a top 40 pop singer.

i know, isn’t that o sailor video gorgeous?? i love floria’s work.
most of the people she works with are artistic, with a definitive vibe and christina’s pop persona does seem a bit out of place with floria’s typical vision.
