You know when you see something and you do a slight double-take because you can’t believe what you are seeing? This happened to me with this hooded tunic from Jen Kao’s Fall 07 debut collection.

This is a piece! Look at it in all its sequined glory.

Okay, it may not be to everyone’s taste and I do have an affinity for sequins, but worn right  this would be incredible. You don’t want to go over the top and look like a Vegas showgirl.

It also comes as a jacket.

This is definitely something that would get people to ask where did you get it? I imagine it worn with something really girly and flowy to tone down the intensity.

Another interesting pattern on one of the dresses.

I will definitely be keeping my eyes on her work.

I was taken by the photography and the presentation of the clothing on Nygards Anna website. It feels like the story of a world-weary traveler/nomad who washed ashore and set up a spot on the beach; all the while draped in simple, fashionable wares.

I like Paule Ka’s collections but these shoes are standouts:

clear, lucite wedges

love. them. lots.

I also like the idea of wearing tough boots with a long, gauzy dress.

Corinne Day has worked with many magazines including Vogue UK and Vogue Nippon. She is also the woman who took those infamous first shots of a fresh-faced Kate Moss in the series, titled Fifteen.

Her editorials are interesting and I really like this one, Second Nature which ran in Vogue UK November 2006. Shot on location at Tinkers Bubble which is an alternative lifestyle community, it’s high fashion set against the eco-conscious environment.

I absolutely adore Wendy Bevan’s work. Her photography portfolio is wonderful and I believe she uses a polaroid camera to achieve these incredible images. The following series is one of my favorites and reminds of the colonial era, it feels like a New England town by the water and something very similar to The Crucible or Hester Prynne from The Scarlett Letter.

Jan Taminiau is so deliciously over-the-top and I love it! It’s beautiful, conceptual, multi-layered and interactive. On the website, watch the model walk in with the design one way and over time it becomes this poof of a dress. It’s frothy and fantasy all wrapped in one. Where would one wear something like this? Not sure, but it is definitely lovely to look at.

Right now, I am in a black and white mood when it comes to certain photography. There is something visceral and telling about images washed and highlighted in shades of gray, white and black. Here is Engbirk’s latest collection for A/W 07 in all its noirish glory.

I really like what Baum und Pferdgarten are offering for A/W 07. Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave are the creative design duo behind the label based out of Copenhagen. They named their A/W 07 collection Hommage a la Garconne, meaning boyish silhouettes with a feminine twist.

Danish designer Naja Lauf has some really beautiful things for Fall 07. These are nice pieces that can be used for layering through out the colder months that are on their way.
