Aren’t these images from Anja Frers lovely?

This is my favorite. That deep crimson color contrasted against the stone wall. Beautiful!

Rodarte is one of my favorite labels to watch just because I find the designs to be so artistic. In fact, some critics say that a lot of their clothes are unwearable for everyday. I like that there is a fantasy aspect to the clothing and there is always movement. While it is feminine, to me it never feels overly saccharine. These are really beautiful clothes that you could wear to an important event. Here are a few runway and backstage shots.

Well, as usual I like Alexander Wang. I’m not sure if it is just the styling or the design, though? A combination of both? I wouldn’t pay for ripped shorts but I like the way it looks in the show. To me, these are items that I would already wear for a everyday, casual look.

On the end of the spectrum is Preen’s NYC debut. Definitely not a casual vibe.

I want to see this dress up close, both the front and the back. I think I love.

Look at the back!

Well, the shows are underway and while everyone will be showcasing the looks from the runway; I tend to look at those pics first and then mull around the backstage images. That is where there is so much action and frenzied energy before, during and after a show. Here are a few pics from Erin Fetherston, L.A.M.B. and Rag & Bone.

Honestly, this is a great look for a dramatic eye. I have seen several people do this up-close and you can achieve a really fairy-queen type vibe.

Also if Alexandre Herchcovitch is to be believed then I think I might have to break out my vintage tuxedo jacket with tails come next spring. To me the collection was very dark and paid a serious homage to men’s fashion. Definitely has a downtown, independent vibe to it. Could see bits and pieces being used in editorials, etc.

I really love the knitwear collection by Danish designer Iben Høj. Everything looks so delicate and soft, great for the Fall. These would be perfect little staples to add to the wardrobe. Also, the talented Stina Persson has been tapped to illustrate the Spring/Summer 08 collection which I would really love to see.

Love everything about this picture!

Pelle Soder is the amazing photographer behind the Saby Fall 07 pictures. Here are some more images from his portfolio.

This little badge has been making its rounds among the blogosphere and thanks to The Vintage Society for selecting me. All I can say is that I was surprised and though stylealchemy hasn’t been around that long, it is nice to know that people like what you are doing.
There are so many amazing blogs in different genres written by women, all with many people who appreciate what they are doing. For example, just about everyone on my blogroll has already received this award and some two or three times. I was about to add bobble-bee to my list but I saw her recent post about being nominated by f&art (who I also just discovered and has a great blog).
Here are my picks for Rockin Girl Blogger
plus, everyone on my blogroll even if you have already been selected.
I’ll keep scouring the internet for new blogs to discover since there is so much content.
In the interim, feel free to pass this along to your favorite girl blogger.
