Here are some pics from Boy by Band of Outsiders Fall 2008 collection with Michelle Williams. I wrote about them last year and declared them to be very preppy. I have not changed my opinion on that matter, in fact I’m going to dub them nouveau preppy. These pics make me want to put on my vintage blazer (which I have been wearing a lot of) and listen to Vampire Weekend. Maybe I should smoke a pipe??

Tsk, tsk. New York Fashion Week occurred right here in my backyard and I didn’t feel the same excitement that I usually do.

I couldn’t even fake it enough, to muster up some enthusiasm. I didn’t head anywhere in the vicinity of Bryant Park. I didn’t even look at style.com to check out what came down the runways for Spring 2009. I think part of it, lies in the fact that autumn is just about to start over here and I frankly don’t care about what I should be wearing next Spring.

I’ll let you in on another secret, I don’t even feel bad about it.

Like, at all.

I only went to style.com today on a whim and saw some images from London Fashion Week and looked at Charles Anastase show and well, let’s just say I like it.

I like it very much.

So, this may be the only thing from Fashion week that I might post but I love some of the details, the quirkiness of some combinations and layers upon glorious layers.

So thank you, Charles Anastase for getting me temporarily excited about Fashion Week. I can’t guarantee its going to last, in fact I’m quite sure it won’t but thanks anyway.

Just stumbled across this vote ring from Renee Francis, which is modeled after the iconic LOVE sculpture.

For those of us, who like streetwear, for the longest time there you couldn’t find any companies that really catered to the female prespective. What I love about Hellz Bellz is that they have a fun, girly edge to its designs. Founded in 2005, by Lanie Albanza, Hellz Bellz has been giving the male-dominated industry a run for its money.

There are a few pieces that I would love to rock. I can definitely pull some inspiration from these images.

The last time I wrote about Mociun, I wanted just about everything I saw. Nothing has changed…Mociun Fall 08 on stylealchemyI am continually fascinated by Mociun’s prints and I find that I want to own all of these incredible wearable works of art. Caitlin Mociun is a Brooklyn-based designer cranking out these highly covetable looks.

These geometric patterns in a cool, interesting palette of colors call out for many different outfit choices and I would love to have these pieces in my closet.

Seriously, I. luv. it. lots.

Well, my favorite pair of designer sisters are at it again with some lovely updated images on their website. Rodarte holds a special place in my heart as with so many of you out there. Here are just a few quick images from the Fall 2008 collection. As usual, visual perfection. These have quickly gone into my inspiration file.

Please can I have these dresses…and shoes…and tights!

Peeps is a handmade clothing line designed by Mia who is based in California. There is a young, energetic vibe to them that I find suitable for these summer days. Here are some of the pieces that I would love to have in my closet.

Noble Youth is the creative concept of self-taught designers Megan Quinn and Ned Shatzer who met by coincidence on a train ride from Baltimore to NY back in 2005. They quickly discovered that they shared the same style aesthetic and Noble Youth Design was formed. The duo create their designs out of Brooklyn, NY. Here are some images from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection.

Love this dress, the pattern and the little bit of flutter at the shoulders.

Here are some lovely images from German design group Boessert.Schorn‘s Spring/Summer 08 collection. The two designers, Sonia Boessert and Brigitte Schorn first appeared at the 18th festival des arts de la mode in Hyeres back in 2005. Since then they have been consistently showing their collection in Berlin. What I’m drawn to are the fringe details seen especially in the first pic. How hot is that? That is a piece that I could certainly use in my wardrobe. Love, love the oversized pieces and the elegant casualness of the collection.

Hello lovelies! It has been awhile and I am most sorry. I have missed updating but there have been some matters that I have had to deal with…nothing serious, just life.

I just have some time to post about this wonderful new designer who I am over the moon about.

Le Sang des Betes

The clothes are sculptural and geometric, right up my alley.

Trang Chau is the designer behind Le Sang des Betes (which roughly translates to the blood of the beasts). Hmm! Trang is based out of LA and cites 18th century gothic architecture and the films of Rainer Werner Fassbinder and David Cronenberg as inspiration. Awesome…

Please, please check out these amazing pieces of clothes. If I could wake up one morning to find a few of these sprinkled throughout my closet, I would be a very happy girl.

She Cried For Rain All Summer Long is the awesome title of the S/S 08 collection for Chelsea Rebelle. The designer behind the line is Sarah Brannon who has created a feminine silhouette with some quirky elements to it. There are some pieces that I can see some friends wearing. I’m particularly fond of that fringed neckline on one of the tops.
